Photographs & annual vacation notice
December 16th 2010 17:16
I have two last photographs to share with you from July, before I disappear for a couple of weeks writing-vacation to focus on family and festivities. (Regular readers wanting to catch the first January post can subscribe via email or RSS.)
I finally got a fairly good - clear focused if not twig-free - picture of one of the baby wood pigeons. You can see how ‘fluffy’ their facial feathers are at a young age and how prominent their beaks. The wing coloration is also only partial at this stage.
The second photograph is of a bunch of starlings that rested in dad’s tree on the other side of the yard after having a mad-crazy bathing session - which left the bird bath practically empty and somewhat dirty. They enjoyed their bath and then sat and preened in his tree.
