A Dreamy Update
October 3rd 2008 15:39
Dreamy is still spending her time daydreaming upon our lawn. She did stretch out into a display recently though -
I really think our little friend must meditate. Surely there cannot be that much to daydream about in the bird-world? This leads me to wonder - perhaps she was a Buddhist monk in a former life?
Dreamy does sometimes take action - generally at food time. She will run up to the pigeons and turtle doves to get her fair munch of seed! She does not fly to the seed, but runs, though.
However her life progresses, she seems to prefer solitude and to remain stationary. I went to check for mail this lunch-hour, only to find her standing in our front yard, near the grating of the entry, back turned to the busy street outside the yard. She took a few steps away from me, not trusting I would leave her in peace I figure.
Such a mystery! Is she just meditating, or is she melancholic... It makes me wonder just how much birds and other animals do with their brains.
