A privet full of pied currawongs

I have finally taken some new photos to share - after a run of rainy and dull weather and my neighbor shooing away most of our pigeons. I happened to be about to do the washing up, and taking a glance out of the kitchen window spotted SEVEN pied currawongs feasting on the seeds or berries or whatever there is in our privet tree.

Here is a picture of one of the birds. I will post a bunch more in my next blog - I have not yet gotten around to resizing and cropping them. The currawongs stayed in the tree for some time, enjoying the fruits, chasing each other about a little, and eventually flew off - one pinching a chunk of home made Indian bread I had tossed out for any pigeons that might arrive!
