Attacking Dreamy
October 2nd 2008 02:08
Baby1 learned that romancing Dreamy just wasn't going to happen. However, Dreamy has not been allowed to daydream in peace at all. She was standing there, minding her own business on the lawn, when down flew our friendly magpie. The pie wanted a little cheese, but was used to pigeons giving way - indeed FLYING away, if he snapped at them with his beak.
Observing Dreamy standing 'too close', he approached and snapped at her, expecting her to fly away in fright. Dreamy just stood there, though.
Well, our magpie did not approve at all. He started flying with wings wide and landing on top of Dreamy. Dreamy responded by walking a few paces away and reentering her dream state. The second sighted swoop from our pie resulted in Dreamy scrunching up a little bit, but not shifting from her stance on the lawn! She just braced herself and let the big bad bird screech and snap at her.
Next, the pie tried to shock Dreamy - by flashing at her.... with no response at all. She merely stretched her wings and ignored the sight.
Eventually, the insulted magpie flew over the fence. Dreamy shook her crested head and got right on back - to her daydreaming!
