As formerly promised, here are some wintertide pictures of the blackcap. It is a seasonal visitor to these parts, coming into our yard only in the coldest months of the year especially to feast on the small purple berries of the tree in the front yard that I have yet to identify.

Although none of these pictures are great, they may at least give you an idea of the species if you are currently unfamiliar with it.
