Brownies gone…

I am not sure what became of her, but our original female pigeon is no longer coming to seed-feeds or hanging about the sills or roof. I noticed on Tuesday that she had not come down for every meal over the weekend, nor either meal on Monday - so looked out for her.
At first, I assumed she was prEGGnant, and nest-sitting. This would mean that she might skip one of the two main meals each day, taking a shift on focusing on her eggs. I spent an entire day by checking at least once hourly, and there was no sign at all of her, though. I even checked to ensure that I had not accidentally closed her in the laundry room, as some of the pigeons like to sit on the gardening supplies shelf in their…
The weather has been bad. We have had mostly heavy hot mornings with thundery evenings producing heavy showers and growling skies for a little over a week. A few days have been heat wave in the tropics style and a few cloudy and wet right through, though. I wonder if she might have flown to escape the storm in some secluded part of the roof and gotten stuck, or flown to a neighbors roof and gotten lost, but Brownie has lived upon our roof or next door's sills for 4 years, now.
Other possibilities include being eaten by a cat, drowned by next doors hose, kidnapped by a local pet store, or decimated by a local drunk, angry teen, or my ex. Next door's cat is very old and lazy. It generally prefers to sit low and stare wishfully at birds than do anything about chasing or consuming them. The cat the other side of next door has only 3 legs, and missing a front paw would also find it difficult to devour one of our pet birds. However, there occasionally are other feline visitations within our yard.
Next door often take the opportunity of hosing down their windowsills when it rains, in order to remove the bird poops with greater ease. Sometimes annoyed by the birds, they aim a hose at them, if they remain on the sill at such times. Whereas normally this would result in their flying away on sight of the water, because of being already wet, it might have made them less likely to fly aside. Sodden, Brownie may have fallen and been cat-consumer with ease or damaged.
There is a recently established pet store a few blocks away that had a sign up advertised its need of rabbits and birds. I do not really think it would go to the effort of capturing wild roof-living pets, but you never know. Living on a city street, our house gets passed by many drunks and grumpy louts, either of which could have 'had some fun' at the expense of a tame and trusting bird. My ex is well established as a pet murderer. He has previously baited both a pet cat at our previous residence and our original male pigeon right here. I do not want to think what he could have done with our Brownie…
The only other thing I can think of is that brownie flew off with Smokey, Spotty, & the city pigeons to their home. I am not sure why she would choose to suddenly do this after spending 4 years right here with a regular supply of seed, and occasional supplies of her favorite music and cheese, though.
