Cockatoo invasion 1
June 3rd 2008 17:20
Every so often, I will hear a screech or two, or even more. Oftentimes, it is caused by a cockatoo in the yard, investigating the bird seed tray, checking for sunflower or corn seed donations, or trying to see what all the pigeon fuss is about. Such a happening occurred over the past weekend, just as I thought I would have no photos to share with my bird blog readers this week due to being stranded at home.
Taking a peek out the window, I found I had something to photograph! Actually, there were more than one cockatoo to take pictures of. In both directions, I saw a cheeky fellow investigating the yard, shortly after pigeon feeding hour.
I took a view bloopers - primarily due to the birds flying or hopping out of shot a little too late to halt pressing the button. My latest camera taking a few seconds to focus and snap, rather than being instant.
However, I succeeded in getting enough of the cheeky fellows to pose in order to create my blog after all. Possibly due to tossing out some homemade spice-bread that didn't turn out so well and was put aside as seagull or pigeon fodder…
