Fairy Wrens
February 18th 2009 17:30
Among the birds I spotted on a recent walk to Puckey's Estate were a family of fairy wrens. I have yet to get a perfect picture of this species, but I will keep trying…
The main problem being that they are not as tame as our pigeons, greedy as seagulls or magpies, or used to slow walkers with cameras as much as fast cycles, dog walkers, and joggers.
This means it is harder to get close enough to grab a great picture - and just when you think you have one, they bounce or fly out of camera shot before the shutter clicks!
