Lost pigeons and hungry ravens

Anyone in the Illawarra region of NSW, Australia who happens to spot this smart looking pigeon with a banded leg - and possibly also a small appliance attached - please check to see if it could be the listed missing pigeon at http://www.redroomcompany.org/ If you spot this bird, please contact pigeons@redroomcompany.org or call 1300 887 606

It has been exceedingly cold recently, and the birds have been coming for food that have not come for some time. I mentioned before that we had magpies again - now, our tame raven is back. It was scrapping with the two magpies over a few pieces of cheese three days ago. Yesterday it stared up at me with such hopeful eyes - it had to be fed! I could not resist those silvery beams.
