New Learnings

I often learn new facts about the garden birds - some of these amaze me, others just amuse me. Among the recently learned pieces of information, I can add:
* Doves will sometimes eat the petals of nasturtium flowers
* Myna birds will sometimes eat wild bird seed, even if there is wholemeal homemade bread on the lawn
* Ravens will eat whole meal homemade bread when hungry, but prefer cheese scraps
* Pigeons are receptive of both human emotions and water course changes
* Herons can learn to trust humans
* Pigeons do not enjoy it when humans make horrid rattling noises with empty juice containers on walls
