Noisy pigeons!

I am not talking about the excess coo-wooing going on in our yard, due to it being breeding season, but the clattering and clanking on my roof at night.
I maintain irregular hours, generally retiring around 6pm local time, due to my writing work being mostly from the US/Canada, along with having a US dwelling partner, yet living in Australia. The sun currently sets a little after this hour, so I beat it to bed. Over the past week, since Bebe2 has stayed overnight as well as Baby1, these two noisy birds have woken me up at sunset.
Baby1 'owns' the alcove above my bedroom, apparently. Whenever Bebe2 gos to roost for the night, Baby1 chases him away noisily. Sometimes a warning coo, and sometimes an erratic mad clambering across the roof - resulting in overhead clunking and clanking loud enough to disturb my sleep!
The idea seems to be to chase Bebe2 right away from the alcove, rather than just up onto the roof above it. Running right over my bedroom, before Bebe2 flies off the roof - onto the dunny roof, or perhaps the lantern by the back door.
Most mornings present the pair of them both roosted on the alcove as I go to check for junk mail. I figure Bebe2 just waits and returns - again, and again, and again - until success. He has spent at least 2 nights on the lantern though, as I have found him there on my 4-5am excursion to the mail box.
