Pigs around the place
June 17th 2008 00:56
The city pigeons fly in in bunches numbering from 2 up to a half dozen or more. They swoop down from the clouds and hang out in our yard. Here is a photo of one local flock awaiting seed time recently. (Please forgive the grid of my kitchen fly screen!!)
This second photo is a little better of the birds, however it makes the house look like its falling to pieces!! That rotting wooden door is here the seeds are issued from - and any cheese, boiled rice, dinner scraps, or stale homemade cake/breads. The rotting peeling white door is the laundry - inside which are shelves where some of the more adventurous birds try to roost if I am doing the washing or gardening!!
