The Hills Hoist
August 10th 2009 15:06
One of the favored spots for perching within our back yard is our Hills Hoist. Many of the birds will rest on it, dance from rung to rung upon it, swirl about as if it were a roundabout, or stand upon it and bite the gnats that gather about the laundry…
On one day last week, I was able to grab a photo of a selection of birds serenely resting upon the Hills Hoist…These doves and mynah birds rested contentedly until a pair of playful wagtails arrived t disturb the peace. Shortly after the duo of fast flitterings had screeched and danced in the air, the mynah birds retired to my neighbor's deck bar and the doves to our Poinsettia… allowing the youthful folly of the tiny black and white wagtails to continue about the H.H.
