Once again, I am full of pigeons! I do have a cheeky little sparrow to start off with though.
The rest of my September pictures are all doves and pigeons. Today, I have even more baby pigeon pictures to share. It has been an unusually warm fall and the birds still haven't figured out winter is almost here.
Yesterday, mid November, I spotted a sparrow collecting feathers and grass in its beak and thought - it is a bit late, but..... Oh well, if I am posting baby sparrow photos in a month or two, you will know that the nest eventuated!!!!
Today, on the way home from a family meal at the pub, we passed a wood pigeon - lying stunned in the grass and weeds at the side of the sidewalk. Muy son noticed it first as I was concentrating on driving my father in a wheelchair. I think it must have been hit by a car and been unable to focus for a while. Hopefully, it will be allright - if I still had my own home, I would carry it home and look after it - but my father is not the sort of person to allow wild birds indoors, sigh...
